The morning light is dim, it’s too early, I wanna go back to sleep.
I gotta go pee
I pull the cold foot back under the covers and try to warm it with the warm foot. I wanna go back to sleep.

Maybe if I lay still I can go back to sleep.

Where’s my slippers? If I keep my eyes half closed maybe I can get back to sleep. Man it’s cold!

Where the fuck are my slippers, careful don’t open you eyes too much. Oh, there it is, crap! Wrong one.
Now I really gotta go pee!
If I don’t put my slippers on my feet will get cold and I won’t be able to get back to sleep. Oh, there it is. Eyes going back to half closed.
Man have I gotta pee!
Walk deliberately, no wasted steps, sit down because you can’t pee standing up with your eyes half closed. Holy crap the seat is COLD!
Ahhhhhhh……
Stumble back to bed, keeping eyes half closed isn’t working. Get into bed with slippers on to keep feet warm. Find the warm spot, pull the covers up, close eyes. . . . . . . . . . . . . Shit! I’m awake!
If only I didn’t have to go pee...
